Lawyer, Notary Public and Mediator
Stephanie Okola is a passionate litigator and advocate practising in the areas of Family Law, Child Protection and Wills and Estates. She appears frequently before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice (Ontario), the Divisional Court (Appeals and Judicial Reviews), and the Court of Appeal. Stephanie is also an experienced mediator, focusing her mediation practice on community-based mediations and contested custody and access matters.
In her spare time, Stephanie is a staunch advocate for access to justice and community legal education. She is active in several community outreach organizations, and is current Chair of the National Board of the Women's Legal Mentorship Program, which is an incorporated not-for-profit that works in partnership with Canadian universities to provide a comprehensive feminist legal mentorship program through its university chapters and WLMP Alumna Network. . Stephanie is currently working alongside Legal Aid Ontario and members of the Black community to establish a new, community-based organization to deliver legal services to Black Ontarians who experience anti-Black racism. She is a member of the Black Female Lawyers Network, The Family Lawyers Association of Ontario and The ADR Institute of Ontario.
