Stephanie Okola is a passionate litigator and advocate practising in the areas of Family Law (including Fertility Law), Child Protection and Appeals. She is an experienced litigator who has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal.
Stephanie is also a trained mediator, focusing her practice on community-based mediations and contested decision-making. She is a staunch advocate for access to justice and community legal education, and a member of the Black Female Lawyers Network, The Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, The Family Lawyers Association of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Child Protection Lawyers.
She is also a committee member of the North Toronto Family Court Education Committee, which provides high quality, affordable Continuing Professional Development for members of the Family Law Bar.

Shala McDonald
Shala is a Licensed Paralegal, FLSP Candidate and Partner at Okola Law PC. At the firm, she wears many hats including Family Law Legal support staff and manager. Her primary practice areas are Employment Law and Human Rights. Shala has extensive experience representing clients in Small Claims Court, and various Social Tribunals in Ontario. Shala brings with her several years of both customer service and legal administration experience, in addition to her studies in law and psychology. She is also a staunch community advocate, assisting with several charitable endeavors in her spare time.
Geraldine Richards
With over 10 years of experience as a licensed paralegal and notary, Geraldine provides professional, client-focused legal services with a strong emphasis on clarity, efficiency, and practical solutions. She has extensive experience in landlord and tenant matters, legal procedures, and advocacy, helping clients navigate complex legal processes with confidence. Outside of her practice, she enjoys travelling, volunteering in the community, and organizing events.
Kahmellah Phinn
As an accounting student, Kahmellah is building practical experience while supporting the firm's financial operations. She takes pride in being reliable, organized, and always open to learning. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Adeyinka Oshunkoya
Adeyinka has worked with Okola Law PC for two years, providing essential legal and administrative support to Stephanie Okola and the paralegal staff, keeping things organized and ensuring smooth daily operations. Born and raised in Nigeria, he is also a committed community organizer who advocates for working-class solidarity and creating spaces where communities can come together to push for meaningful change.
Shantie Ashmeade
Shantie is a seasoned administrative professional with over 10 years of experience in fast-paced business environments, eight of which have been with Okola Law PC. Starting as the firm's Legal Assistant, she has grown into her current role as Office Coordinator, bringing strong operational instincts, steady leadership, and a talent for keeping complex projects on track. Her commitment to efficiency continues to be a driving force in the firm's growth. Outside the office, Shantie can be found lost in a good book, staying active, or recharging with family and friends.
